Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the terms under which refunds or cancellations are processed for services and products offered on the BeFriends App, owned and operated by Hazhteq Innovations Pvt Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By accessing or using our App, you agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Digital Subscriptions & In-App Services
A. Premium Subscriptions (Kozy+, Personality Tools, etc.)
- All purchases of digital subscriptions or premium content are non-refundable once activated.
- Some users may be eligible for a 3-day free trial, after which the subscription is automatically activated unless canceled within the trial period.
- Canceling a subscription will stop auto-renewal, but no partial refunds will be issued for the remaining duration of the billing cycle.
B. AI Assessments, Mood Tools, and Games
- One-time purchases or unlocks of digital assessments or in-app content are non-refundable once delivered.
2. Expert Appointments (Counselors & Therapists)
A. User-Initiated Cancellations
- Appointments with Experts may be rescheduled or canceled by the user at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable, unless due to medical emergencies or unavoidable circumstances (subject to approval).
B. Expert-Initiated Cancellations
- If an Expert cancels or fails to show up for a session, users are entitled to either:
- A full refund, or
- A rescheduled session at no additional cost
We aim to ensure such situations are rare and handled promptly.
3. Physical Products (In-App Store)
A. Cancellation Before Shipment
- Orders can be canceled within 48 hours of placement or before the item is marked as shipped, whichever comes first.
- If canceled within this window, users are entitled to a full refund.
B. Wrong or Damaged Deliveries
- If you receive a wrong or damaged item, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at talktous@befriendsapp.in with supporting photos.
- We will arrange for return shipping at our cost, and issue a full refund or replacement based on your preference.
C. No Return for Change of Mind
- We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind once the product has been shipped and received in good condition.
4. Refund Process
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original method of payment (e.g., Razorpay-linked account).
- Please allow up to 7 working days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank/payment provider.

- Your Unique ID provided on the App
- Details of the Order
- Reason for the request

6. Discretion & Exceptions
All refund and cancellation requests will be reviewed in accordance with this policy.
We reserve the right to approve or deny refunds at our sole discretion, especially in cases of misuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Use.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. All changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the app signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
